Parachuting Beaver Note Card

Sweet Pea Cole

*Shipping and Taxes may be added during checkout

While developing beaver illustrations for the painted, larger-than-life beaver as part of the High Desert Museum’s “DAM it! Beavers and Us” exhibition, I ended up drawing some little creatures that really needed to be shared. The Parachuting Beaver is 1 of 6 designs, each with a little nugget of information printed on the back of the card.

Back of Card: In the 1950’s, the U.S. Department of the Interior dropped beavers with parachutes into remote areas of Idaho so that they would build dams and promote a more even distribution of water in eroded areas.

This Beaver illustration notecard is screen printed by hand on 100 lb yellow vellum with a 70 lb kraft paper envelope. Blank inside.
